This recipe is some of the most best chocolate chip cookies ever baked. These cookies boast a delightful combination of crisp edges, tender centers, and an abundance of gooey chocolate chips.
INGREDIENTS
8 tablespoon high-quality butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/2 teaspoon salt (kosher)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 and 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Keep aside.
In a saucepan . melt the butter until you see smaller bubbles. Set is aside to cool.
In a medium bowl, mix the melted butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla essence until creamy. Scrape down then bowl to ensure they are all mixed well.
Once the batter is a ribbon-like consistency, add the flour and the chocolate chips.
Mix well, scoop into round dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill for 10 minutes and bake for 10-12 minutes. Ensure to space evenly a few inches apart on prepared pan or tray giving them space to expand.
Let it cool for 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
