BLUEBERRY JAM

A simple and easy homemade blueberry jam made with fresh fruit and no artificial flavoring.


INGREDIENTS

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

1/2 cup sugar

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon lemon juice


INSTRUCTIONS

Wash the blueberries well and toss them in cornstarch to coat evenly.


In a sauce pan, heat blueberries, sugar and lemon juice on low until they begin to soften and release juices. Turn up the heat until bubbling, cook until blueberries start to break down and can be mashed and it begins to thicken.


This mixture will thicken more as it cools. Store in a clean dry glass bottle.
