CARAMEL BROWNIES

Deliciously fudgy, rich and moist brownies swirled with a gooey mixture of homemade salted caramel sauce.


INGREDIENTS


10 tablespoons unsalted butter , at room temperature

1 1/4 cup powdered sugar

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

3 eggs

1/2 cup maida / all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup homemade salted caramel


INSTRUCTIONS


Prepare the homemade caramel and keep aside. Prepare a baking tray with parchment paper and preheat oven to 180 degrees C.


In a mixing bowl, add butter and sugar and beat well with a hand mixer / stand mixer.

Next add cocoa powder, eggs, flour, vanilla and mix well until everything is well combined. Do not over mix.


Add half of the batter evenly onto the pan and add 1/2 cup salted caramel. Using a knife or spoon spread the caramel around. Now add the remaining batter and top with caramel. Make design with knife to spread the caramel around.


Bake for 40 minutes or until the toothpick comes out with moist crumbs ( the centre would be moist and edges would be semi solid, ensure not to over bake till toothpick comes out super clean ). Cool completely before serving.


Pour more of the salted caramel as required. Enjoy !
