CHEESE BURST PIZZA

A unique and popular pizza with a thick crust with yummy liquid or molten cheese inside. An amazing family treat !


INGREDIENTS

Pizza Dough

1 and 1/4 cup warm water

2 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

2 and 1/4 teaspoon yeast

3 and 1/2 cup bread flour


For Layering

Pizza sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Grated Mozzarella cheese (As needed)

Chicken or Veg topping

2 tsp Oregano seasoning powder


To make the Cheese Burst Sauce/Spread

½ cup grated processed cheese

50 ml Milk

1 tbsp Butter



INSTRUCTIONS

In a mixing bowl, take warm water and sprinkle in the yeast. Stir to combine and allow to rise.


Next add olive oil, salt, and flour. Using the dough hook attachment of a stand mixer or a hand mixer, mix on low speed until combined.


Now transfer the dough into a bowl with a teaspoon of olive oil and let it rest. Cover the bowl with a damp towel or plastic wrap in a warm place and let it rest for at least 30-60 minutes. The dough will double in size.


Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.


For the cheese spread, boil water in a saucepan. Add grated processed cheese, 50ml milk, and 1 tbsp butter. Whisk everything together until the cheese melts and combines with the milk. Once done, turn off the stove and keep it aside.


After rising, punch down pizza dough and divide into equal portions, depending on the pan size. Pat/roll and stretch dough on pizza peel to fit the pan, while creating a rim along edge of dough. Using a fork, pierce dough many times over surface.


Meanwhile, make the topping of your choice.


Switch on the stove. bake the pizza dough lightly for just under a minute on a non-stick tawa.


Spread and apply the cheese sauce. Place a second layer of pizza dough and apply little water on the sides of the dough to seal it. Now enclose the sides of the dough well and press it gently so that it is uniform throughout.


Pork it once again well with the fork. Then, apply and spread the pizza sauce on top of it.

Now add some finely grated mozzarella cheese and place the topping of chocie, on top. Add more cheese if needed and sprinkle some oregano or any Italian seasoning of your choice.


Finally, brush some melted butter or olive oil on the sides of the dough and drizzle it on top to give a pleasant aroma to the pizza.


Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes until crust is golden.


Remove from oven, sprinkle top with oregano and pepper flakes. Cut into slices and serve.
