An easy puff pastry appetizer that’s loaded with mozzarella cheese and garlic.
INGREDIENTS
Puff Pastry sheets - you can use the frozen one or the homemade one
(try the homemade pastry from here https://www.rupzbaking.com/post/homemade-puff-pastry )
1 egg, beaten for brushing (you can use milk instead as well )
1/4 cup butter, softened at room temperature
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon dried parsley
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix butter, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper and cheese together in a bowl and set aside.
Prepare the pastry sheet and cut into equal squares. Create a border around the edge of the pastry by scoring the pastry with a knife about 1/2 inch in from the edge of the pastry and should be halfway through the thickness of the pastry.
Spread some of the butter mixture over each piece of puff pastry on the inside of the scored border. Brush the edges with milk/beaten egg.
Bake for 8 minutes. Let cool for about 5 minutes and enjoy!
