These chewy and rich cookies are made with whole wheat ,chocolate chips and the goodness of hazelnuts. A delicious combo of flavors!
INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup unsalted butter , at room temperature
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup powdered white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoon milk
2 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
1 cup hazelnuts , chopped
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 190°C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In the mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment or with a hand-held mixer, beat the butter and brown sugar, white sugar until light and creamy, Remember to scrape down the bowl as needed.
Next add the egg , milk and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Mix into the batter until incorporated. Then mix in the chocolate chips and chopped hazelnuts.
Drop cookies onto the prepared sheet pan, in equal measurements. Bake until golden brown for about 12 minutes.
Let cool for a few minutes on the pan, then move to a wire rack to cool completely.
