CINNAMON SUGAR DOUGHNUT HOLES

A warm, crunchy, sweet cinnamon tossed balls of perfection. This is an easy to make receipe and these melt in your mouth !



INGREDIENTS


1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more as needed

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 egg

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup whole milk

1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted and at room temperature

Cinnamon and sugar

Oil




INSTRUCTIONS


In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, and baking powder.


Add egg, sugar, butter, and milk, vanilla extract and whisk to combine well using a hand mixer or by hand. The batter will be sticky.


In another bowl , take half a cup of sugar and a few sprinklings of cinnamon and set aside.


Heat oil in a deep pan for frying. Roll dough into small bowls or into 1/2 tablespoon balls.


Quickly drop the balls into the oil. Fry until just golden brown on bottom, then flip and cook reverse side until golden brown. Carefully remove them onto a paper towel lined baking sheet.


Repeat this process with remaining dough.


While the doughnut balls are still hot, drop them into the bowl of cinnamon and sugar. Move these around until they are well-coated.
