CLASSIC CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Best ever chocolate chip cookies.....cookies with a golden brown edge , chewy inside and so delicious.


INGREDIENTS


¾ cup unsalted butter , at room temperature

½ cup white powdered sugar

1 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

2 eggs

2 ½ cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks , or a combination of them both.


INSTRUCTIONS


Preheat oven to 190 degrees C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.Keep aside.

Sift flour , baking soda and salt.


In a medium bowl, beat the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Scrape down then bowl to ensure they are all mixed well.


Add eggs beating them and scraping down the bowl. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt and mix until combined. Add the chocolate and mix until well incorporated. Do not over mix.

Take a tablespoon and scoop out equal rounds of dough onto a baking sheet. Ensure to space evenly a few inches apart on prepared pan or tray giving them space to expand.


Bake for about 9 minutes or until edges are golden and top is set.


Let it cool for 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
