CRISPY ROASTED CHICKPEAS

A crispy, salty, savory snack that is healthy and deliciously seasoned.



INGREDIENTS


1 and a 1/2 cups White Chickpeas / Kabuli Chana , soaked in water for atleast 7 to 8 hours or overnight

2 to 3 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

salt , to taste

1 large garlic clove , finely chopped or garlic paste


Spice mix

1 teaspoon pepper powder

1/2 tablespoons fine kosher salt

1 teaspoon paprika

1/4 tablespoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon garam masala powder

1 teaspoon red chilli flakes

1 teaspoon dried oregano



INSTRUCTIONS


Drain the chickpeas till all the water is removed. Use a kitchen towel to soak off the excess moisture.


Preheat the oven to 200 degree Celsius and brush some olive oil on a non-stick baking sheet.


Whisk together the olive oil, garlic, and salt, in a small bowl and toss this together with the chickpeas in a mixing bowl.


Spread the chickpeas in an even layer on the baking sheet.


Bake till they just start browning about 20 to 25 minutes, stirring every five minutes.


Take the spices mix ingredients in a bowl and sprinkle it on the baked chickpas so that it evenly coats the chickpeas.


Bake for another 10 to 12 minutes. Once done remove form the oven and allow to cool before serving. Enjoy !
