DANISH BUTTER COOKIES

Danish butter cookies are a timeless classic. These buttery, vanilla-flavored, light and crisp cookies are simple to make and will melt in your mouth in no time !

INGREDIENTS

1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

½ cup sugar

¼ teaspoon salt

1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract

1 egg

2 cups all-purpose flour

Granulated sugar, for sprinkling

Piping tool /Decorating bag

INSTRUCTIONS


Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Line two baking trays with parchment paper.


In a mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until combined and fluffy. Add the salt, vanilla and egg and beat until combined.



Reduce the speed to low and gradually add the flour until combined.


Place the dough inside a piping bag with a sizable open star tip (recommended). On the baking tray, pipe the dough into 2-inch circles. Sprinkle with sugar.

Bake until light golden brown for about 10 to 14 minutes. Allow to cool completely before storing or serving. Enjoy !
