Soft homemade doughnuts that are delicious and perfect. Top with melted chocolate, glaze.
INGREDIENTS
For kneading dough:
Flour / Maida - 2 cup
Milk - ¾ cup
Softened Butter - ¼ cup
Powdered Sugar - 2 tbsp
Active yeast (dry) - 1 tsp
Salt - ½ tsp
Oil - for frying and for brushing
For glazing : Powdered sugar - ¼ cup Milk chocolate ( I used Morde milk compound )
Sprinkles/ Almonds for decorations
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat the milk to make it lukewarm. Also melt butter a bit. Take flour in any bowl, add sugar, salt, dry active yeast and butter. Mix all ingredients really well. With help of lukewarm milk knead soft dough. Keep kneading the dough for 5-7 minutes so that it gets soft. Roll the dough. Spread some dry flour on the board and place dough on it. With help of rolling pin make a round circle and cut round doughnuts with help of a steel glass. Take a small cap of bottle and make holes in the doughnuts. Place doughnuts on a try. Make doughnuts from rest of the dough again in similar manner. Brush all prepared doughnuts with oil so that they do not dry.
Cover the doughnuts and keep then aside for 2 hours so that they be come puffy. After 2 hours, fry the doughnuts on low flame until they turn golden brown in colour. Take out fried doughnuts in a plate with absorbent paper.
Dust hot doughnuts with powdered sugar. Melt the chocolate. I placed them in the microwave for 1 minute and stir to melt.
Dip the doughnuts in the chocolate and decorate as needed.
