This flourless chocolate cake is an exquisite treat with a thick, deep, fudgy flavor that is surprisingly easy to make. A dessert for chocoholics.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup unsalted butter
227g dark chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup white powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon cocoa powder
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C and lightly grease and prepare an 8 inch round cake tin.
Place the dark chocolate and butter into a microwave safe mixing bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until everything is melted and smooth.
Add in the sugar, salt, cocoa powder, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk it using a hand mixer until just combined. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl to ensure everything is mixed in.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for about 25 minutes.
Let it cool for 5 minutes. Run a knife around the edges of the cake to loosen, and flip the cake onto a serving platter or cake stand. Let cool completely.
