CHOCOLATE BUTTERCREAM

Smooth, creamy and rich frosting for cakes and cupcakes !


INGREDIENTS


1 cup unsalted butter, melted to room temperature

2 cup powdered or confectioners' sugar

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons heavy cream or fresh cream



INSTRUCTIONS


In a mixing bowl and using a hand mixer, cream the softened butter until completely smooth.


Sift the powdered sugar and cocoa into the mixing bowl. Whisk until they have been mixed completely by the butter. Now add in vanilla extract, salt and heavy cream and beat well. Spread evenly on cake or cupcake and enjoy !!!!


Put in the frosted cake or cupcake in fridge for about an hour to set.


Tip :

If your frosting appears a little too thin, add a little more sugar.

If your frosting needs to be thinner, add additional heavy cream, 1 tablespoon at a time.
