MILK CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Thick milk chocolate chip cookies with ooey, gooey centres and golden brown edges. . This easy recipe can be made in just 30 minutes!


INGREDIENTS


380 grams all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

227 grams unsalted butter, at room temperature

100 grams granulated sugar

247 grams light brown sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 eggs, at room temperature

340 grams milk chocolate chips/buttons


INSTRUCTIONS


Preheat oven to 180ºC. Line baking trays with parchment paper.


In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, beat the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until creamy, about 2 minutes using a hand-mixer or stand-mixer. Next add the vanilla extract and eggs one by one. Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Stir in the chocolate buttons to create the dough.


Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 24 hours. Once ready, let dough sit at room temperature just until it is soft enough to scoop.


Divide the dough into approx. 3-tablespoon sized balls using a large cookie scoop and drop onto prepared baking tray.


Bake for 13 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
