NUTELLA PASTRY TWISTS

Nutella Pastry Twists are easily made pastry, perfect for breakfast or dessert. Ready in just 30 minutes..



INGREDIENTS


2 sheets frozen puff pastry , thawed or homemade dough

1 cup Nutella

1 egg, beaten

Flour for dusting

Sugar for toping , optional


INSTRUCTIONS


Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper


Unfold a sheet of puff pastry onto a lightly floured work surface. Using a rolling pin, lightly roll the pastry to seal together any folds.


Spread Nutella onto the flattened puff pastry dough.


Flatten a second sheet of puff pastry dough and place on top of the first sheet. Cut the dough into one-inch-wide strips and twist each strip into a twist and place on the baking sheet.


In a small bowl, brush the whisked egg onto the twists. Sprinkle the twists with sugar, if desired.


Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown. Remove the twists from the oven and allow them to cool for at least 5 minutes on the baking sheet.
