SWEDISH CINNAMON ROLLS

Swedish cinnamon rolls that are super fluffy and light. A recipe that is extremely easy !



INGREDIENTS


3 tablespoon unsalted butter

2 and 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast

1/2 cup milk

2 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup water

1 egg

1 tbs ground cardamom


Filling:

Some unsalted butter, softened to room temperature

1 tablespoon cinnamon powdered

1/4 cup powdered sugar (you can also use brown sugar)



INSTRUCTIONS


Melt the butter in a saucepan on a stove and pour the milk into it. Take this mixture off the stove and let it cool to be just warm. Next add the yeast followed by the rest of the ingredients and knead the dough in mixing bowl with a hand mixer fitted with a dough hook for 10–15 minutes. Let the dough rise in the same bowl while covered for 30 minutes.


Prepare a baking tray with parchment paper.


Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread the softened butter on top. Make a mixture of sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle it over the dough. Roll the dough the long way and cut out into slices.


Place them on a baking sheet and let rise for about 60 minutes or until the rolls have doubled in size.


Preheat oven to 220 degree C.


Beat together the egg and water, brush the mixture carefully on the rolls. Bake in the oven for 5–6 minutes. Allow to cool on a rack.
