A very light, airy, fluffy and so extremely gratifying cake making it perfect with your evening cup of tea or coffee. A treat that this is super simple to make !
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
3 eggs
1 cup powdered sugar
1 and 1/2 cup maida / flour, ensure its correctly measured and leveled
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 Cup Milk , at room temperature
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven at 160 degree C.
Sieve flour, salt and baking soda and keep aside.
In a medium bowl, add butter and whisk with a hand held mixer until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time and whisk after each addition.
Add sugar and whisk further till mixed well. Ensure to scoop down the bowl using a spatula.
Add the flour mix in batches and whisk well until well incorporated. Do this on low speed only or using a hand whisker.
Add vanilla , mix and then add the milk. Whisk well till the batter is all fluffy and light.
Prepare a baking pan with parchment paper.
Pour the batter in the pan and bake it for 60 mins. Remove and bake again at 140 degree C for 5 Mins or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely before serving, Serve and enjoy !
